Weed Assistance Program
Keeping up with weeds is hard work, and for some of our neighbors it just isn’t possible anymore. The City of Holbrook is starting a Weed Assistance Program for homeowners who are elderly or living with a disability and can’t afford to hire someone to clear their yard.
Who can qualify
- You own the home, and it is inside Holbrook city limits
- You are elderly or living with a disability that makes yard work unsafe
- Your water bill and property taxes are current (not behind)
- Your household income is at or below the limit below, or you can show a financial hardship that keeps you from paying someone to do the work

How it works
- Fill out the short application below. It takes about 5 minutes.
- Community Development will review it and may call you to check whether you qualify.
- If it looks like you qualify, we’ll mail you a letter to set up an interview at City Hall.
- At the interview, you’ll need to show proof that you own the home, that your water bill and property taxes are current, and your household income or financial hardship.
- If you’re approved, you’ll sign a liability waiver before the City schedules any work.
Help is based on need and available resources. The program is still being set up, so filling out the form is a way to let us know you’re interested. It does not guarantee service.
