Resources for Ethical Governance:

  • City of Holbrook Code of Conduct: This document outlines the ethical standards and expectations for Holbrook’s elected and appointed officials. It emphasizes integrity, fairness, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including guidelines for council relationships, public interactions, and conflict of interest protocols. Violations may lead to sanctions, such as censure or fines, as determined by the City Council. The Code of Conduct is proposed for inclusion in the City Charter, reinforcing Holbrook’s commitment to ethical governance.

  • You as a Public Official: Published by the League of Arizona Cities and Towns, this guide provides a comprehensive overview of Arizona state laws governing public officials. It covers key areas such as Open Meeting Law, conflict of interests, public records, incompatibility of offices, nepotism, financial disclosure, and limitations on entertainment. This resource serves as a reference for understanding legal responsibilities and is distinct from Holbrook’s specific Code of Conduct.

  • Council Agenda-Minutes: Access meeting schedules, agendas, and minutes to stay informed on city decisions.

  • City Charter: Outlines the structure and duties of Holbrook’s government.

  • Arizona Attorney General’s Agency Handbook: Provides additional guidance on state laws, including Open Meeting Law and Public Records Law, for public officials.

Get Involved: Residents are encouraged to engage with the Mayor and Council by attending meetings or submitting a Request to Address City Council form. For questions or to learn more about local governance, contact the City Clerk’s Office at 928-524-6225. Together, we build a stronger Holbrook!
