Holbrook’s Animal Control services are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of both residents and animals in our community. Led by Animal Control Supervisor Brandon Smigiel, our team handles animal-related concerns with professionalism and care.

Holbrook Animal Care and Control is a proud grant recipient of the Arizona Pet Friendly License Plate program, administered by the Arizona Companion Animal Spay and Neuter Committee. Grant funding from this program helps us provide free and low-cost spay and neuter services for pets in our community, along with our TNR program for community cats.
These services reduce the number of homeless animals in Holbrook, keep our shelter population manageable, and give more pets a chance at a good life. None of it would be possible without the Pet Plates program and the Arizonans who support it.
How you can help
Get a Pet Friendly license plate. The plate costs $25 per year, and $17 of every plate goes directly to spay and neuter programs across Arizona, including right here in Holbrook. You can order one anytime at servicearizona.com or learn more at azpetplates.org.
Donate on your Arizona tax return. When you file your Arizona state income taxes, you can make a voluntary contribution to the Spay/Neuter of Animals Fund in the Voluntary Gifts section of Form 140. You can give any amount, and every dollar supports spay and neuter services statewide.
Adopt, don’t shop. Follow the Holbrook Animal Shelter Facebook page to see pets currently available for adoption.
